Introduction 

  • "The king of typhoid". 
  • It can be given in every stage of typhoid fever, even it is a best preventive medicine for epidemic of typhoid. 
  • It was used as antiseptic dressing on Gangrenous wounds, especially when it was accompanied with low type of fever. 

Fever+

  • Pt appears very weak and prostrated, unable to think, looks like a drunkard(ars.).
  • Temperature range : 103 - 106°F. 
  • Great nervousness and aching pain especially in head, back and limbs. 
  • Sore and bruises feeling of the parts rested upon (arn.). 
  • Bradycardia : soft pulse.
  • Offensiveness : all the discharges are very offensive, such as breath, sweat, urine, stool.
  • Mind : Delirium, pt says that his body is scattered and he is two or three persons, indifferent. 
  • Blunted sensorium, pt falls asleep in the midst of answer (after answering fully- arn.). 
  • Tongue : cracked or ulcerated with dry yellow, brown coated in center. 
  • Painless sore throat, can swallow liquids only.
