Sphere of action

• glands, throat, prostate, heart, blood vessels, nerves. 

Guiding symptoms + keynotes 

1. A/F : Emotions & suppressed foot sweat.
2. Person is physically & mentally weak and dwarfish.
3. Great sensitiveness to take cold easily & every cold settles in the throat results in sore throat, tonsillitis & Quincy. Can only swallow liquid.
4. Swelling & induration or incipient suppuration of glands, especially - cervical & inguinal.
5. Offensive foot sweat, toes & soles are sore.
6. Old people : enlarged prostate & indurated testes, premature Impotency, childish old people with hypertension or idiocy.
7. Baldness in young people, scalp is very sensitive to touch.
8. Dwarfish hysterical women with scanty menses.
9. Twitching of muscles during sleep, talks in sleep.

Constitution

• Suitable in first and second childhood. 
• Physical make-up: Dwarfish, weak & short, swollen abdomen, puffy face, enlarged glands, thick lips & idiotic. 
• Mental make-up : idiotic, foolish mentally weak with deficient intelligence. 
• Old people : weak & fatty. 

Mind 

• Memory deficient, forgetful, inattentive. 
• Child cannot be taught for anything, if anything is taught, child cannot remember, threatened idiocy.
• Lack of Confidence in himself, senile dementia, childish, grief over trifles.
• Child doesn't want to play, he sits in a corner do nothing or do foolish things like throwing stones at strangers.
• He become serious at laughable matters & laughs at serious matters (anac.). 
• Late milestones : Child is Late in learning to walk & unable to learn anything because can't remember the things.

GIT 

• Mouth
• Mouth filled with inflamed vesicles & foul taste.
• Saliva runs out of mouth in sleep & Pt awakes with dry mouth.
• Paralysis of tongue.

• Teeth
• Toothache from cold, decayed tooth & before menses.
• Aggravated while thinking about them.
• Pain disappears when the mind is diverted.

• Throat / Tonsillitis / Quincy
• A/F : suppression of foot-sweat, cold drinks & cold air.
• Character : tonsils are enlarged with swollen sub-maxillary gland & prone to suppurate especially on right side.
• Sensation : smarting & stitching pain while swallowing, sensation of plug in pharynx.
• Aggravation: swallowing solids, over use of voice, thinking about them.

• Stomach 
• Pain & weight in Stomach immediately after meal, epigastric tenderness. 
• Hungry but refuses to take food because of pain, eructation & soreness of Stomach.
• Gastric weakness in aged person with possibility of malignancy.

Modalities

• Aggravation: while thinking about the complaints , after menses , lying on painful side , washing the Affected part.

• After baryta carb, psorinum will often eradicate the constitutional tendency to quinsy. 
• Incompatible after calc. In scrofulous affections.
