- Calendula is a most remarkable healing agent which can be applied locally which promotes healthy granulation of soft tissue and prevents infection and suppression.
- Type of injury : Indicated in clean cut - incised type of wound (injury by knife or post-surgical operations).
- It acts as a haemostatic (stops bleeding), so its useful to control bleeding after tooth extraction.
- Repairs rupture of tendons, laceration during labour.
- Wounds penetrating articulation with loss of synovial fluid.
- Great liability to take cold, esp in damp weather.
- Intercurrent remedy for cancer.
- Warts at the external os.
- Also useful in ulcers of varicose vein.
Injury
- Consider first 5 points of guidings.
- Sensation : painful as if beaten (arn).
- Old neglected, offensive injuries, like gangrene.
Modalities
- Aggravation : damp weather, heavy cloudy weather.
- Antidoted by arnica.
