  1. Calendula is a most remarkable healing agent which can be applied locally which promotes healthy granulation of soft tissue and prevents infection and suppression.
  2. Type of injury : Indicated in clean cut - incised type of wound (injury by knife or post-surgical operations). 
  3. It acts as a haemostatic (stops bleeding), so its useful to control bleeding after tooth extraction. 
  4. Repairs rupture of tendons, laceration during labour. 
  5. Wounds penetrating articulation with loss of synovial fluid. 
  6. Great liability to take cold, esp in damp weather. 
  7. Intercurrent remedy for cancer. 
  8. Warts at the external os. 
  9. Also useful in ulcers of varicose vein. 

Injury

  • Consider first 5 points of guidings.
  • Sensation : painful as if beaten (arn). 
  • Old neglected, offensive injuries, like gangrene. 

Modalities

  • Aggravation : damp weather, heavy cloudy weather.
  • Antidoted by arnica.
