Benzoic Acid

Acid Benz.

A/F : suppression of gonorrhoea, syphilis.
Urine dark brown and the urinous odor is highly intensified (due to excess of uric acid).
In child : Nocturnal enuresis (cina), of delicate child, with characteristic urinous odour.
In old man : enlargement of prostate leads to dribbling in urination.
Character of urine : dark red to brown in color, with high concentration of uric acid, which leads to strong smell.
Concomitant : Diarrhoea in children : white, watery, offensive stool, and gouty affection in old aged.
Trio of offensive urine : sepia, acid nit., acid benz.

A/F : suppression of gonorrhoea, syphilis.
Location : all the joints especially knee joint, pain goes from left to right.
Sensation : tearing pain, stitching.
High level of uric acid ~> Gouty concentration ~> nodositis in joints ~> cracking sound on motion. - especially in knee joints.
Ganglion of wrist and bunion of great toe.
Aggravation in open air and uncovering.
Relation : Acid Benz. can be think of when the colchicum fails in gout.
